Rica Shepherd and her family joined Fellowship Bible Church in June of 2021 when Rica began working as the Director of Children’s Ministry.
Rica is a Dalton native and received her bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Dalton State College in 2011. She has since worked in various teaching and training roles as a public school teacher, a sales director, a culinary instructor, a stay at home mom, and most recently a children’s ministry director.
Just after graduation from Dalton State, Rica met her husband Daniel and they got married in 2012. They have two children, Judah (born in December 2014) and Lottie (born in June 2018).
Rica grew up in the church and is blessed to have heard the good news of Jesus at a young age. She began serving in children’s ministry in middle school and this has continued to be her favorite type of ministry since. Her passion is for children to see how every story in the Bible is telling one big story: The story of God sending his son Jesus to rescue people who could not save themselves.
Rica is enjoys working with the volunteers and parents at FBC to inspire and equip them to pass this good news on to the next generation.
